The "Stations of the Cross," are installed at Saint Joseph's Church on Devine St. in Columbia, SC. The fourteen stations depict Jesus' walk up Calvary to his death and burial. My favorite is the very last one, "Jesus is Laid in the Tomb." I really like the design, color palette, simplicity and movement. The image to the far right shows me preparing the wrought iron stands for installation of the actual mosaics.
"Wander That Way" is a mosaic sculpture installed at Mepkin Abbey, Moncks Corner, SC, in memory of Mary Condon Montgomery Register and Elizabeth Buechel Allen, our mother's who passed away in 2016. The butterfly is a symbol of rebirth, metamorphosis and a soul at rest all of which seemed appropriate for this space and for these two lovely ladies.
"Victory Starts Here," 7' x 10,' was commissioned for the new army headquarters at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC and in commemoration of their 100th anniversary.
